A valid passport with at least six month validity, one passport size photo and a duly filled visa application form are required to obtain a tourist visa to enter Nepal. Visas can be obtained upon arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport or at the Nepalese Embassy or Consulate in your home country. Visa fee should be paid in any equivalent cash but it is best advisable to make the payment in US Dollar cash. Traveller cheques, Personal cheques and credit cards are not accepted for visa fee.

Tourists can stay for a maximum of 150 days in a visa year (Jan 1 to Dec 31) extending the visa at the rate of US$ 3.00 per day.
