Tourist Visa Requirements

To enter Nepal as a tourist, you will need a valid passport with at least six months' validity, one passport-size photo, and a duly filled visa application form. You can obtain visas upon arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport or at the Nepalese Embassy or Consulate in your home country. It is best to pay the visa fee in US Dollars cash, although other equivalent convertible currencies are also accepted. Please note that traveler's cheques, personal cheques, and credit cards are not accepted for visa fees.

The visa fee structure is as follows:

  • Multiple Entry 15 days: US$ 30 or equivalent convertible currency
  • Multiple Entry 30 days: US$ 50 or equivalent convertible currency
  • Multiple Entry 90 days: US$ 125 or equivalent convertible currency

Please note that the above visa fees are per person and are subject to change without prior notice.

If you wish to extend your visa, you may do so for a maximum of 150 days in a visa year (Jan 1 to Dec 31) at a rate of US$ 3.00 per day. However, if you plan to stay for 15 days or less, you must still pay a minimum fee of US$ 30.
